Ha Noi – June 24th, 2015. Today, the manual entitled Ready for Success: Training Manual for Potential Women Candidates in the 2016 Election aimed at increasing women’s representation in all levels of elections was released.

The manual was developed under the auspices of the Women’s Leadership: Empowerment of women in period of international integration – a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This comprehensive training guide is packed with practical advice on everything from public speaking, preparing an action plan and engaging with media. The manual also includes a summary of the political system in Viet Nam, the candidate nomination process and the role of different agencies in the candidate selection and election process.
